Once you get into the lobby, take the short escalator to the 2nd floor, where you'll find an elevator. While the food might be priced right (everything is less than $20), drinks, on the other hand, are quite pricey. This WAS the place to have a party in downtown LA. We usually come here in groups and haven't had an issue finding seats. Beautiful views, of course, of downtown LA and there's plenty of seating. The Rooftop is strictly 21+ for visitors. I loved how the location is outdoors and there are heaters everywhere. People come for the pool area or to lounge. The view was super pretty and you can see the mountains in the background. The restroom was slippery and wet from swimmers, reminding me of a public swimming pool restroom. Overall, I think you go here for the view mostly, which can't be beat. One of my favorite rooftop bars strictly for the view and laid back vibe. The night we came, the sky was clear so the LA Skyline was amazing! There are quite a few popular rooftop bars in the DTLA area like Perch, Broken Shaker, but the Standard is easily my favorite. I was in dtla today hoping to take some photo shoots from the rooftop but theres a sign that says, they have completely shut down due to this pandemic..Always a fun spot to hit in LA after dark.
I felt the taro chips were more like tortilla chips, but that's fine. Ride that to the rooftop and you'll be rewarded with a great view of DTLA! Love how spacious it is and not solely focused on the pool. Take the elevator to the Top and you can take unreal views! We also got the Ube toast but it was more like bread with Ube (Taro) spread on the side. A more extensive menu is available downstairs in the hotel restaurant.
