Top class eh! We particularly loved our day trip over to Les Arcs. My husband is a more competent skier and enjoyed skiing the whole area, so they have a good variety for different levels. There are a variety of ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr all the way up to a lightening 120 km/hr. What’s not to love about our La Plagne chalets? We offer flights from London Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester to Grenoble or Geneva as standard, but would be happy to book additional regional flights if an alternative airport is more convenient (regional flight supplement applicable). Please contact Louise, Jonnie, Andy, Katie, Libby or Ben if you have any questions. As well as all this there are lots of different childcare options available so adults can have some real fun tearing up the mountain for a couple of hours whilst the kids are thoroughly entertained in a kids club. La Plagne is one of my favourites. Bedrooms boast either views of the piste or Mt Blanc in the north.

We skied a lot and loved how incredibly easy everything was. Chalet Le Chateau is our largest chalet in Alpe d’Huez sleeping fifteen guests. At an altitude of 2000m, the chalet is surrounded on two sides by mountains, providing a perfect location for a summer holiday in the Alps. The chalet has five twin and two double bedrooms, all with en-suite and balcony and a small single bedroom (shares bathroom in room 7). La Plagne’s conveniently located – it’s well linked in terms of getting over to Les Arcs and the transfer wasn’t bad at all. It’s terrible. With our La Plagne chalets catering to a range of 6 – 12 guests, we can offer endless flexibility for whatever you’re looking for. I’ve been there 3 times now. There were a lot of black runs shut due to fear of avalanche, but from a family point of view that wasn’t a problem, there was plenty else to ski. Snow generally elsewhere was good. It’s not a huge open plan place which is very nice as you get lots of variety, with some open runs and others going down gullies and between trees.

The ski area has good variety – not many black runs but a lot for intermediates. I would stay there again because of their central location in Belle Plagne and the proximity to the slopes and all the amenities. Having the option to go the Les Arcs is also a bonus but I only felt it was necessary to do once. La Plagne is pretty big and has lots of options.

The Spitting Feathers bar in Plagne Bellecote, is a great choice for live sports. There were no excessive queues. The cheapest way to get from Château de Versailles to Gare d'Aime-La Plagne costs only 95€, and the quickest way takes just 6¼ hours. La Plagne is great – it’s linked up to Les Arcs which doesn’t take long to get to, we went over there 2 or 3 times. A massive ski resort, you can ski all day and not see the same thing twice. Still some runs closed at bottom of les Arcs over February half term. We only went over there once I think. It’s both boarder friendly and skier friendly, a bit more beginner and intermediate so if you want hardcore stuff it’s probably not the best. There are 93 restaurants to choose from with excellent choices on and off the slopes. The ski area has loads of runs; we always started from the main area after dropping my daughter at ski school and went all over the area.

We didn’t bother with the bigger Les Arcs pass because we knew La Plagne had enough.

First time skiing La Plagne - stayed here over Christmas week 2014. Also rained on the last day!

It’s easy to ski between the different parts. Luckily, it snowed the week we went so the pistes were fine and we managed to find some soft off-piste. La Plagne's snowboarding offerings keep getting better with ever more parks and a new boarder Cross. Wish we were still there! It was busy and a couple of lifts broke so queues could be long, but you can’t complain about that over February half term. There are lots of things to do, we went to the top where they have ice sculptures and things and there are tonnes of restaurants and cafes. The Telebus Lift that takes you directly to Plagne Centre is just across the road and it is possible to ski from just below the chalet to the Bergeres or Melezes Chairlifts. Our party is a big range of all ages, and the resort worked well. For those who class themselves as intermediate standard skiers this really is paradise. It’s world class. Plenty of shops and restaurants. International We love La Plagne, I think the level of snow and the number of snow parks are the best things. La Plagne’s easily one of Europe’s best ski resorts and one we visit again and again.A fabulous all-rounder: ski the Paradiski’s wonderful mix of tree-lined trails, knee-deep off piste and wide open cruisers, before returning to whichever purpose built village or age-old hamlet you’re staying in.
